well here it is, day 1. my first mission trip to costa rica. the plane took of monday morning 6/18 2:10am L.A time and we arrived in el salvador at 8am. we had a 5 hour layover and then we left for san jose costa rica at 1:40pm. the plane ride was actually smooth, and contrary to what my roommate lindsy said about TACA airlines, it was not bad at all. (TACA take.a.chance.airlines) All my luggage was safe and we headed out in Phils awesome ride to his house. costa rica is very green and lush. i cant wait to see more. it rained a little towards the night. we went to visit this school where phil has an outreach to the high school children. it was nice meeting them, and they were all so friendly. in costa rica, a kiss on the cheek means hello and goodbye. i dont know any spanish so i feel a little akward when everyone is talking. i hope i can learn a little before i leave. i cant wait to see what GOD is going to reveal to me and what divine appointments i am going to have. this is all still overwhelming. i want to know where GOD is going to use me here. ill write more tomorrow, im soooooooo tired.
